Although it have a wide enough screen to work with widgets in Android which is 3’’ HVGA screen, the user interface
of XPERIA X8 uses similar X10 mini approach to widgets, one widget in
every screen with no shortcuts or folders except those four that laid
down at the corner of the screen.
Unlike the X10 mini, the X8 screen however is quite big to be stuffed
with virtual QWERTY keyboard on portrait rather than alphanumeric
keyboard on X10 mini. The on-screen keyboard is also available in
landscape view. Enough talking about it, let hit the price section.
On the video, Sony Ericsson has come up with the device’s price. The XPERIA X8 will hit the retail market with the price less than $250 (EUR200). This price will boost the selling and beats Motorola FlipOut that range around EUR350. It’s even cheaper than Samsung Galaxy Spica (about $300 here in Indonesia). Spice is one of the most favorite Android phone here. If the X8 price is correct, I believe that the X8 will sells like hot cake
Since it is still an unfinished hardware running with prototype software phone, some feature detail of the phone might change when it finally launch.
