• [IBCP] Re: iTether for iPhone!!! May want to grab it fast

I had to explore how we could best have internet while on the road - -
so last week I compared Radio Shack / Verizon / ATT. I already have an
older 3GS iPhone, but was willing to consider any options. I was
surprised to find out that ATT had the best workaround for us - without
having to purchase any new or add-on equipment!
Typically, we don't use much data on the iPhone, since WiFi is often
available locally - but on the road I would like to use my MacBook Pro
for various tasks. Check out ATT web site AT&T Plans
    <http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/plans/data-plans.jsp> for the
details. In a nutshell - the 'DataPro 4GB' plan can be turned on and off
as needed (online) and allows 4 or 5 devices to be tethered to your
iPhone for $45 per month. I currently pay $15 for 200MB of data - so it
will be $30 additional when we want to have the 4GB and tethering. I
especially like having the ability to 'control' paying only when we need
    it.
We like to Skype the granddaughters and pay bills while traveling - so
this will allow us to do so ...when we have 'good' phone service ;-)
