LG finally confirming some of the specs for the LG Optimus 2X aka LG Star. It sounds great to find that the device sports dual-core Tegra 2 that runs at 1GHz, 1080p video recording and Android 2.2 (Froyo). Unfortunately, the official announcement stops there since some other specs are still missing.
The hottest part of the LG Optimus 2X is confirmed that this is the first tegra 2-powered GSM smartphone. There’s also NVIDIA SoC to give you full HD (1080p) playback and recording via the 8-megapixels camera.
As a new high-end smartphone, it is normal that there are lot of
great features to pack into the phone such as HDMI port which is able to
output Full HD video, and the DLNA support allows you to play video
on a compliant TV wirelessly. The 4-inch WVGA screen offers its own
hilarious specs with a 1.3MP secondary camera for videocall chat. The
internal storage comes with 8GB capacity, and it’s accompanied with a
microSD card.
Unfortunately, the Android operating system to perform within is the Android 2.2
(Froyo), which seems to be outdated soon while the Gingerbread has
dominated the market. Of course, LG will get the device updated later.
