It sounds like you want to use the old "minutes of use" data connection, aka the
"back door".

There are certainly other phones that will work with Windows 7. I have an old
LG VX8350 that works with Windows 7. I can connect to my laptop running Windows
7 Home Premium (that's the basic version of Win 7) and get Internet access. The
data connection is charged as minutes (including free nights and weekends) on my
Verizon bill. Drivers for the phone were built in to Windows 7.

So few people still do this, though, that it will be tough to find someone who
does it with a currently available phone.

A word of caution: If you change your voice plan, you will probably lose the
ability to do this regardless of which phone you use. It only seems to work
with the old America's Choice voice plan.

data plan." Any Verizon Android phone will require such a plan.

[IBCP] RE: MIFi modem

All I can say is that we're just about completing a 4-month, 9000+
mile RV journey through the South (by way of New England!) and have
found our MiFi absolutely essential. The number of areas it didn't work
beautifully in were only one or two and we were pretty remote. The
speed of the service pretty much depends on the Verizon signal. In some
places, we didn't have a 3G network and the MiFi was pretty slow, but in
most places, even a nominal signal and we were cranking. We also have a
Wilson amp, and in those areas where our phones showed we were in a less
than optimum area, we used the amp routinely with good results.

It's funny to be in a campground somewhere and see sometimes 4 or 5
other MiFi's listed on the wireless network list on our laptops.

antenna adaptor for my Wilson amplifier. I have been having trouble
with it not communicating. I called tech support and she told me that I
was in a no coverage area and to return the unit for a refund.
Not what I was hoping for.

ok, I played with this on my seldom used Windows XP machine. Set iTunes so that it will not start up when you plug the iPhone into your computer. Now when you plug it in Windows will detect a camera has been attached and give you the normal options for uploading files and/or pictures.

Lastpass is also an annual subscription also. I know this because I have both of those software packages. But I prefer Roboform.
