[IBCP] Verizon and The Veteran's Discount

Verizon has a program of giving Vets a 15% discount on their cell phone bill......

I'm a Vet..........in fact, I'm a retired Naval Officer.......

AllTel was my provider until they were bought by Verizon.......I still use my Motorola e815 phone that I obtained from AllTel........

Recently I signed a new contract with Verizon for a Mobile HotSpot........the cell phone contract/relationship was not changed.......

Yesterday, I stopped by a Verizon store and inquired about the Veteran Discount.........sorry........I don't qualify.......

Because I'm technically still on an AllTel contract (5 or more years old)......no go......I need a new Verizon contract AND and new Verizon phone......

The Veteran Discount is not available to Mobile Hotspot contract holders........

I like my e815 and I'm staying with it and the grandfathered AllTel arrangement.........
